A huge well done to the KS2 members of the choir today who represented North Wheatley at North Notts College in Worksop. Staff were very proud to see them sharing their talents with the wider community.
We were treated to a flurry of snow too as we arrived with a secret snow machine to get us into the Christmas spirit! As a thank you we were also treated to a selection box, hat and mug each!
Well done choir we are all so proud of you – your next performance will be in front of 5000 people!
Pupils have been practising their dance routine in preparation for this afternoon’s #CelebrateArtsmark event!
Can you guess what our boxes are being turned into? #CelebrateArtsmark
What will Class 1 be doing with these boxes this week? Keep watching to find out!
A huge thank you to the North family for the delicious ice pops. Just what the children needed in this heat.
Pete Cox has returned to school to share his trip to France where he visited the graves of three fallen heroes from Wheatley: Private I. Annakin, Private A.Mason and H.Sewell. He paid his respects to the three memorials and added our crosses to each one. He will be travelling to Belgium later in the year and we will be sending crosses with him again for further heroes.
Recently, North Wheatley were contacted by Pete Cox who is currently visiting the graves of the soldiers from our area who were killed during World War 1. He is soon to be travelling to the battle fields and cemeteries in North France and will be visiting the graves of three soldiers from North Wheatley who were killed during the campaign. Pupils in Class 2 have written messages onto crosses to thank those soldiers on behalf of our school and Pete will place these on the three graves whilst he is in France. He will send photographs of his visit and we will share these with you.

School council have been auditioning acts for the final of our Red Nose Day Comedy Show. We are ready for a Funny Friday!!!
A message from the school council:
For Red Nose Day we have been thinking about what we are going to do. We have come up with the idea to do a comedy show. Auditions are on Monday 20th March 2017 – please sign up on the whiteboard in the playground if you would like to give it a go.
We have also decided to raise money by wear a red nose or coming to schol with a painted red nose. We would ask for a donation towards the Red Nose Day charity.
Thank you for supporting the school council and all the charities through the year and we hope that you enjoy the show.

Well done Richie and Corey. What a hard working break time you have had. I might pop into your house for a cup of tea at lunch time! It has been lovely to see pupils of different ages coming together to work as a team.
